RESOLVED
This announcement has been resolved, no further updates are expected.
FTP Enforcer
Due to the security issues surrounding FTP as a protocol, we have decided to disable FTP access as standard on shared and reseller hosting.

Once disabled you won't be able to login to FTP unless you have either:
a) Whitelisted your public IP via the cPanel plugin
b) Have opted to temporarily enable access via the cPanel plugin

The new cPanel plugin to manage FTP access is called FTP Enforcer.

While previously there was an option to disable FTP access on a per account basis the FTP Enforcer implements security as standard and allows finer access control.

The setup is split into 2 parts;
cPanel interface:
This allows control of the whitelisted IP addresses and time based access for a single account.

WHM interface (for resellers):
This allows actions to be performed on multiple accounts at once, while time based access isn't implemented adding/removing whitelists and disabling/enabling FTP Enforcer is possible.

FTP Enforcer
Reseller servers beginning with the letter A through D have now had FTP Enforcer enabled as per previous announcements on this matter.

As a reminder, hosted accounts will no longer be able to login to FTP unless they whitelist an IP address or have temporarily enabled FTP access. All access is managed via the cPanel interface (cPanel -> Security -> FTP Enforcer).
