| Hi, Our datacentre has identified a possible problem with the power distribution unit in the rack where your server is located. To fix the problem a new power unit needs to be installed which would typically involve 30-60 minutes downtime. To minimise the downtime, we would like to move your server to a different enclosure/rack within the datacentre. To do this we will power down your server, move it to the new location and power it back up with under 15 minutes downtime. This work is scheduled between 10:00 - 12:00 tomorrow. As is standard practice for maintenance of this type, we will ensure that the work is done as soon as possible after the last backup run. In addition, we will only move one server at a time and ensure that each server is back online before starting on the next. |
