Scheduled Reboot & Apache recompile
We are planning to reboot Clapton on Thursday the 12th around 10PM (UK time). This reboot will allow us to upgrade the kernel, enabling some extended features. Unfortunately, as a side effect to the upgrade an Apache recompile will be required. We expect total downtime to be in the region of 10 minutes while the server is rebooted. However, in worst case scenario, Apache may not restart without a recompile in which case total downtime will be around 30-45 mins. Apologies for the disruption, however we feel this is worthwhile due to the benefits the updated kernel provides.

The server is now back online, we're proceeding with the apache/php recompile. Once complete we'll post an all clear.

The re-compile is taking slightly longer than expected due to a library issue. Once this is resolved I'll post another update.

I've escalated one of the issues up to cPanel as it appears to be a bug with the way they handling compiling certain parts of the software stack. I'll keep you updated as I work with them to get any remaining issues sorted ASAP.
